Henry West learned guitar in his Pop's back shed, where it was mostly bluegrass and country, but it was the odd jazz tune that drew him in. Years later, D'Angelo and Frank Ocean led him to R&B and soul. Now a multidisciplinary artist based in Byron Bay, Australia, he writes about love, self-reflection and the battles of the internal world.

The music always comes first, and the film grows out of it. Chapter I: Anastasis, a five-track EP, came with a 17-minute short film. Chapter II, his debut album Before the Bloom, is becoming a feature film and a stage play.
